We are delighted to showcase our new Fox Flannel Overshirt. Presented in a shade of classic navy blue with a cloth weight of 530/560g, for an essential piece of everyday wear.
Due to the cloths heavyweight nature, this type of overshirt features characteristics of both an overshirt and jacket. Therefore, this type of garment is often commonly referred to as a 'shacket' with its practicalities of both styles.
Upon rediscovering an old and vintage shirt at the back of 'Mr. Fox's' wardrobe, we got to work right away to create a brand new design, loosely based on this hidden away and much treasured garment.
Once The Merchant Fox had produced a new design, we then took it upon ourselves to source a local independent tailoring service in Bristol, England. Hannah and Eloise were certainly up for the 'challenge' of turning our visualisation, patterning and cloth into a reality, with a new one of a kind overshirt.
This high-quality overshirt made from Merino wool, can be worn over a contrasting t-shirt and smart trousers, for a casual appearance.
